Mike Irvin

Mike is a native Texan and grew up in Corsicana, Texas. Hisinterest in art goes back to his childhood days. Although his career path diverted him from full-time application of his artistic skills, he continued to apply as much time as possible to his true love of drawing and painting.  Upon his retirement, Mike began painting on a full-time basis.

Moving to his ranch near Clifton, Texas in 2000, and being surrounded by hills, cattle ranches, and a thriving art community has been all the incentive he needed to seriously apply himself to his art endeavors.  With nationally known artists such as Tony Eubanks, Bruce Greene, Martin Grelle, and George Hallmark residing in and around Clifton, Mike has been fortunate to receive their mentoring and critiques of his work. Mike attends several workshops each year but relies heavily on practical application of painting everyday to improve his knowledge and skill.

He and his wife live on their ranch in the historical community of Norse, eight miles west of Clifton.
